okay ladies - what is on your weekend schedule? I have a huge political meet-and-greet this morning for the campaign I'm working on {luckily breakfast is included or I would NOT be up this early on a Saturday - hahah} I have a friend coming over this afternoon for some Silhouette 101 training {she just got her machine this week} I have a vinyl project to finish up, so she's going to learn all about welding letters, and cutting vinyl first! and my son just got his drivers license so chances are great I am going to be a big worry-wort all weekend long with him going to-and-from work!!! finally - if I do not muck out my scrap space soon, I might disappear!!!! Tomorrow is a huge cleaning day for me, and a day of discovery. Because I always tend to "rediscover" something I haven't seen in a while!!! HAHAHA what'chy'all doing with your weekend? ?

We are doing a "meet and greet" right on our back porch this morning, for a local candidate for the city council. Since we're responsible for the "eats", we're going the easy route...melons and oatmeal/raisin cookies. I'm off the grab the melon baller!

I just finished boxing up the scrapyland swap project and plan to get it to the post office today. Then I am going to quilt a bit. I should clean the craft room but what's the point Later I will probably swim a little, mow the grass, shop, ok maybe I won't mow the grass Cindy

I'm finishing up my recipe page for the swap. (See why I'm so lax about the deadline, girls???) Tomorrow, cleaning up the scrap room, and getting my excess ready to sell at my LSS's consignment sale. I have lots to get rid of every year, and it's such a bonus to earn a gift certificate to the store with the proceeds!! Course, then I just buy more stuff to fill up the space I cleared...but at least it's NEW stuff! Gail

...then I just buy more stuff to fill up the space I cleared...but at least it's NEW stuff! Gail I just did a cleanout of paper that I didn't think I could live without (at the time that I bought it). Gail, you don't have to purchase new paper to fill up the space...I swear the paper just multiplies on its own...at night...while I'm sound asleep!

Cat and Diane, too funny!! I think we all suffer from impulse buying - you know how it is - that paper (or ribbon or die or whatever) is just too gorgeous to pass up. We're not sure what we'll do with it, but we know that once we figure that out, the item will be unavailable, and we'll be kicking ourselves, soooo: Buy all the pretties!!!! Gail

Well, the weekend is OVER before I even get to post a reply to your question, Susan!!! I have had my 4 and 6 yo grands with me since Tuesday, and just gave them back to their momma this afternoon!!! I am one exhausted, yet contented, grammy!!! I have never had them for this long a stretch, and I now know why God gives children to us when we are young! They NEVER stop, except to sleep! I hear you on the need to clean the scrap room....that seems to be a never-ending chore for me! LOL at the buying comments....WHY do we buy stuff that we already have so much of? I cannot understand this!!!

...WHY do we buy stuff that we already have so much of? I cannot understand this!!! As Cindy and Gail said...it's PRETTY! And I'd still swear up and down that it sneaks into our homes when we're fast asleep!

I buy because; "I Might Need It!" Emergencies!!!! I thought driving 35 miles to pickup needed adhesive, paper, or inks was a pain. Now that specialized scrapbooking store where I would go sometimes closed 2yrs ago, I get most all of my supplies from ScrapyLand. I can't drive right now so I rarely go to HL or Mike's because the guys can only take me on Saturday afternoons. Plus the scents in those stores are too much for me most of the time. My craft area is awful because I'm a messy scrapbooker....I do have a lot of supplies. But I've got into a horrible habit of NOT cleaning /putting supplies back where they belong as I go for a project and I really don't have the room to scrap like that. the truth hurts! Cat
