tomorrow is the day - My goal is to get my whole office/desk/space cleaned off tonight after dinner so that tomorrow can be all scrappy time! I have a katrillion family birthdays coming up in October and November so I need to get my groove on! Who's with me??? Anyone want to report back with cards they've made? You know - a little fun message board accountability?!?!?!?!

If the weather is good I will try and download a few because photo's inside just don't turn out. thanks Susan for the encouragement to to get a few cards done.

oh Deborah - soup sounds yummy right now, and I"m assuming you're making it because it's cooled off considerably!! At least I'm hoping it has. It was over 100° today and my daughter called at noon and was squealing "snow is on the radar for tonight!" - I promptly hung up on her! HAHAHAHAH Soup and open windows and sweatshirts - I'm so so so ready! For some reason this summer has been exceptionally LONG and extra HOT in my book! So tomorrow I'm cranking the AC down and putting sock and jeans on - and pretending it's FALL! happy card making day tomorrow Deborah - sounds like some YOU time is a good thing to coincide with the day's "holiday"!!

Well, my PLAN was to scrap all day today, making cards.....but the best laid plans have just gone amuck.... DD needs a sitter for the DGC tonight, so they are coming over soon to have a sleepover with Grammy and Poppy. No scrapping for me when those little monsters are here. But i'll be scrapping tomorrow for sure!

Well, I did make four Christmas cards today...but only because I had a class at A's this morning. After a bit of shopping and a late lunch at IHOP I curled up in bed under the ceiling fan to catch up on reading. My body had other plans too I guess because I woke up a while ago and it was dark outside! It is way too hot for fall here in Houston as well--mid-90s and icky here today. I hear there is a cold front coming though. The high on Sunday is supposed to be 66. Come on fall!! Cool thoughts to everyone! c

well it sounds like everyone had a similar day to mine! I started off REALLY WELL but then I decided that we needed some good snacks for the Cornhusker football game that was starting at 5pm. Homemade salsa, homemade enchiladas, and haystack cookies later - it was game time, and I was still only one card into the day! It was so hot here {of course} that the boys didn't even want to work in the yard - so they were inside and underfoot all day. But we had fun! The Huskers lost, the salsa and enchiladas were delish, and I fell asleep on the sofa at about 9:30pm - hahahaha! Maybe cards today?!?!??!

I've decided its National Card-Making Weekend! ;D Like you guys, I got waylaid yesterday - thought that putting finishing touches on the Chocolate Recipe Albums and getting them mailed would be done by noon. Uh, try 3PM!! Long story short - no cards were made. But, today it's rainy, cool (58 degrees), and there's Pork Carnitas in the crockpot, so...cards, here I come!!! Hope you all have some fun today, and Susan, I'm hoping for fall to arrive for you soon!! Gail

I wasn't able to make any cards this weekend! Between soccer and travel for my MILs b'day party, we were gone all weekend. BUT, it was a fun weekend and well worth it. ;D I've actually been working on cards lately though. I hope all of you were successful in getting some "me time" or cards done!! I can't wait to see Cheryle's treat boxes!! Pam

I was ready to download some cards I made and my thing that has my photos on it won't go in my camera. So I think I will need to get a new camera. I really liked this one. Easy for me to work with so now have to go camera shopping. I guess I will have to take the card to Walgreens and download to a disk as My camera seems to be shot. I will take it to Best Buy where I bought it and see what they say so you may see my Fall and Halloween cards come Christmas. Who knows. I hope I can get to Janesville tomorrow to check it out. I hate being without a camera.

Deborah, your cards are absolutely A W E S O M E !!!!!!! Love every little bit of each of them.....great design, love the papers, the cut out, the verses! You rock! Sorry to hear about your camera.....that is not a nice thing! I find it harder with each passing year to have to try to learn a new piece of equipment!
Sounds like most of you got something done for Nat. Card Day, unlike me.......so happy that you got in some time to do this! I am traditionally a page scrapper, but I can see how cards and grow on you....they seem to be easier to put together than pages, that's for sure----at least for me!
