I love Wednesday's - and this week it seemed to come early because f the Monday holiday! HOORAY! I'm already making plans for the weekend, which for me means making piles! I haven't finished a page "for me" in ages, and this weekend I am doing that! So piles of paper {new from CHA}, piles of embellies {some oldies but goodies} and piles of font dies {new and old mixed, naturally! }. Unfortunately there is also a pile of laundry in the hallway, in the bedroom and in the boy's bathroom. I think I need to dig into my old pile of Blox sketches to make my scraping weekend go faster. What do you think? Do you pull out old sketches/Blox and tweak them to make them new??? I think of it as "smart scrapping". What do you think? So now that I'm planning my scrap-weekend, tell me what you'd like to see in the next couple of months on the Scrapy Land blog? Throw out new ideas, or revisit things we have done before. We're all ears - and you know, I'm making piles so one more "blog pile" wouldn't hurt!

Ah a play day..sounds like fun..I have piles but need to clean..wish I could play. How about a mix on altered projects using household items. It's always fun to recycle what you have laying around. I know for me I hate throwing stuff out so why not see some useful techniques? It's a long week for me but can't wait to see my crafty room again..too much work makes Leslie a very dull or rather unhappy girl..

I have piles, too, but unfortunately they're all cleaning "piles"! Okay, some are craft-related, but many are not, and the non-crafty ones are going to walk away on their own if I don't get busy! ;D That said, I also go back to previous designs, twisting and turning them a bit. My theme tends to be "Why mess with success?"

Oh I wish y'all could see all of my piles of piles and more piles. Seem I have invested in more pretty papers and card stock than I have used. Oh My Gosh!!! I thought I was going through much, much more than what I was. My craft room is a shared space. My DDs share the space when they come home. (It's a crowded space during the holidays) Well I decided I was going to do some real serious sorting through all of my supplies and tools starting with my papers and cardstock (I've been gifting some supplies I no longer use or need to a young friend whenever I run across something I think she can use. She has young school children) But back to my "SERIOUS" sorting. There are piles and piles of paper/card stock ---name a color any color---name a pattern any pattern---name a brand any brand y'all get the idea. DS being the pesky pain he is asked if a giant confetti factory blew up, when had I started my own store, was I papering the house? He even mentioned he has a heavy duty paper shredder; while shaking his head and trying to hide that sneaky little grin. Creep! Yes the piles of paper/cardstock are unbelievable time consuming to go through and maybe a little scary but on the bright side-----I can give Paula and her kids a box full or two maybe three and still have plenty to "paper the house". Cat, are you sure you're talking about your place? It sounds strangely like my corner of the world! My paper supply has spread from my "craft space" to the bed in the spare bedroom! Anyone who might come to visit unexpectedly will get a choice of the couch or an air mattress!

oh Cat - it sounds like SEVERAL of us are in the exact same boat!!!! But reading your post - I thought of a great idea...we need to play a GAME! A matching game...remember the tv game show "Truth or Consequences" when the host would walk into the audience at the end of the show and say "bobby pins - who has bobby pins" or "matchbooks, who has a matchbook?"and the game was to see who had it, and some of them were WEIRD! and he'd give prizes! well, how about the month of February - we play "Hide N Seek" or something like that. I post a brand, or a pattern, or a tool, or a book title, or a paper collection - and the first person to either answer a question about it, post a picture, or describe the answer gets a point. THAT SOUNDS LIKE SO MUCH FUN!! OH Cat - I think you just invented a great game!!!!!!!!! What do we call it? And how do we make it fair? Time zones, work hours, countries - it's hard to just BE FIRST, because my time zone and my work schedule isn't the same as yours. So how about everyone posts something, and then one person is picked the winner...or everyone gets a point? At the end of the week points are tallied? Just dawned on me - this February game is the PERFECT reason to spend this weekend, the last weekend of January, CLEANING and ORGANIZING...don't you think!??!?!?! oh I'm so excited!!!!!! Cat you're getting credit for inventing this - we just need a fun name for the game..... IDEAS? ?
