I am afraid of February.. Seriously I have 4 birthdays, SuperBowl plus Valentine's Day to get through and they only give us a stinking short 28 days to do it all in..definitely not enough time and I don't know how but my dd roped me into hosting my 2 yr old grandson's birthday..Yikes! Luckily they are all adults..but still between menu, dessert and decorations I am not sure how I will fair come Monday morning. Then I have to turn around and do my son's 21st birthday..and I am too afraid to even ask what he wants. Any one have any special Love Day plans?

...Any one have any special Love Day plans? My plans don't even come close to being as busy as yours! I'll probably plan a Valentine's Day dinner, decorate a bit, and make sure that "heart" cards arrive in a few mailboxes!

oh Leslie!!!!!!!! you have a seriously crazy month! let me recommend: • cake only for the 2 year old - balloons are ALWAYS good decorations • catered bbq or the 21 year old - 21 bottles of beer taped with a $2 bill and a $1 bill to each bottleneck {my girlfriend just did this and it was adorable!} • SuperBowl - pinterest for easy snacks and treats • Valentine's Day - easy peasie Solo Sentiments and red and pink sprinkles on EVERYTHING! there ya go! Now let's talk MARCH!!! You'll do fine - you always pull out the awesomeness when it's warranted!! HUGS

Susan what a great idea..for the 21st. Personally I am hoping to get out of the superbowl menu this year.. I bought dh a deep fryer and both he and my son are having a goodtime with it..but {sigh} I know that I won't get off scot free..but one can dream can't one? BTW - did you now that there is a helium shortage? Apparently they now limit the number of helium ballons you can buy. I wouldn't normally know this but ds has been working at a party store.

Leslie I'll see if my girlfriend has a picture of what she gave to her son, and send it to you if she does. It was adorable {in a 21-year-old-alcohol sort of way!!} She got a big round tub, like you'd use at a picnic on the beach...and filled it with ice. The she went to a liquor store where you can buy bottled beers individually...and got a big, fun, variety of bottles - crazy names, cool labels, breweries from places they had visited, etc. Then she folded up $2 bills and $1 bills, really narrow, so just the #2 and #1 showed, and she scotch taped one of each to each bottle neck. She said at first it was really funny because her son assumed they were $20 bills and $10 bills - hahaha!!! The bottles, on ice, filled the tub, a big bow was on the bottle cap of each bottle, and the cash at first wasn't really noticeable. Her son loved it!!! I hope you get out of Superbowl cooking/baking. If you want my "Keuter Caviar" recipe {which is easy, and YUMMY!} or an awesome recipe for blender salsa, let me know. I'll share! They're always hits!!

Leslie, if your GB's party is indoors.....T-pins and pretty twine are great for hanging balloons. I have hung hundreds of balloons, snowflakes and streamers from our ceilings using T-pins. The holes from the pins don't show after wards. Take a dollar store party table cloth....fold it where you can cut it in strips ----tie several different colors to the balloon stem ----use one of streamers as a string to hang the balloon from the ceiling. Hang them all over ceiling. (strips don't fade or spread if they happen to get wet like paper streamers) A few yards of white tulle / netting and a few dozen T-pins makes a pretty neat looking cargo net filled with colored balloons. I even used tulle to make a tube filled with balloons----no sew---just wrap the tulle loosely around a balloon tie a loose bow with ribbon/ string/ twine on both sides add another balloon---- bow---balloon---bow until you reach the end or you limit. Leslie, I hope some of this makes sense and sparks some great idea mojo for you. Cat

Cat those are some great ideas.
We are having a dinosaur theme so I am going to go look for some dark green or brown tulle and thinking some small ballons would kind of look like dino eggs so I can totally see that.
Thanks so much for the ideas guys..it really is a big help
