I know we use stamps for cards and I will occasionally use them for texture designs on my die cuts, or as elements (i.e. stamp and cutout), but do you ever just stamp directly on your layouts?
I have some alpha stamps that I used maybe once to stamp titles but seems that fad went by the wayside.

I occasionally stamp directly on my layout. For example I use my walkingshoe-stamp on walking-layouts. I stamp a path from the left page to the right page. I use ink a little darker than the backgroundcolor, and just on cardstock, not on patterned paper. I also used some animal stamps directly on layouts. Then I used a light backgroundcolor-cardstock and I even colored the stamps with my copics. I like the result, but don't do it often.

I love roller stamps but I have been trying to branch out more to use my stamps on layouts … I recently took Stamping for Scrapbookers by May Flaum at craftwithmay.com and it has inspired me to reach for my stamps more.

See now I bought some of these and I just hate them..probably because they never look as nice as when I see them. I buy them, use them once and then get rid of them. I have some flourishes and things and I keep thinking I should try them on the layout directly. Maybe that is a good challenge for myself. I have tons of stamps mostly for card making but I don't use as much as I should.

I think that is what I like about the roller stamps - is that it's okay for them to be messy & I stamp a saying or date 3 times LOL!! If you are ever looking to unload any roller stamps you can send them my way! As I am collecting, I am def. realizing that some brands stamp better & clearer than others ... bummer to find out after I buy a roller stamp that it doesn't stamp well. In the Stamping for Scrapbookers, May used some flourishes & she talked about connecting them with the elements on your layout so they are part of it ... since I took the class I have been wanting to sort thru my stamps to see what I have & how to use them on layouts now that I have inspiration. I would be up for a stamping on layout challenge!

Carolyn I might have one to send to you. The class sounds like it's right up my alley for using my stuff.
