Where are your favorite places to take vacas? I try to go somewhere new at least once a year. This year we are keeping it close to home and traveling down to San Diego (neither my DH or I have been tourist there) but would love to hear where others go..or what was your most memorable vacation? Please share, I am looking for ideas for next year (yes I am that kind of person )

My husband and I will make a holiday from Vancouver to Alaska in August. 2 weeks landtour (Yukon, Whitehorse, Dawson, Fairbanks, Anchorage, Benalipark) and one week cruise from Anchorage back to Vancouver. I think this will be great. What do you think of Europ? I can tell you a lot of beautiful places over here..

I cannot wait to go to Europe! Going to San Diego this friday but that is for a half-marathon so really not "tourist" time. But heading with a girlfriend so will be a blast anyway.
I am heading to Hawaii (was there 20 years ago for my honeymoon) to renew our vows. I am taking my teenage boys there for their first time so excited to snorkel, try surfing, maybe horseback riding. only 1 week but should be able to rest and do some activities.

Anke, Yes went to London and Paris last year although I have no objections about going back. Have thought about other areas as well.
Steeler Girl, already been (or rather London and Paris) and Hawaii have been there a few years back so not sure I am ready to head over there again just yet.
Have been to Canada a few times and do love the area especially the Vancouver Islands. Have been to Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, DC, Utah, Oregon, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. I did want to do a fall trip to the East Coast..hoping to make it there this year as well, but have to see how life unfolds.
Was thinking New Orleans might be fun but eh not too high on my list I think. Have heard good things about Charleston, NC. so at some point I will need to check that at.

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere on a cruise ship. I've been around the Caribbean a few times, through the Panama Canal, and down the Inside Passage in Alaska. Love to see all the different places without having to change hotel rooms every night! Scrapped them all, too. My next want-to-go vacation is a scrapbooking cruise to anywhere.

Yes, a scrapbooking cruise! I would like that. But my husband not! I don't want to go alone. So, no scrapbooking cruise for me I think. We also love cruising. Great to see a lot of different places, it is a moving hotel. We always do a balcony stateroom. You have your own, quiet place when you want it quiet. We've been to the Caribbean 3 times, to Sweden/Norway/St Petersburg, and we cruised in the Mediterrean Sea. We loved it.

We own a property in Hawaii so we try to go there every year. We also love Las Vegas and I am dreaming of visiting San Francisco. Paris is also at the top of my list!

We just spent 8 days in Cancun this past January … we are debating to make our next vacation another beach vacation maybe in the Caribbean or to visit Europe - I'd like to go to Italy or Belgium but I think DH would like London better … DS is up for anywhere he just enjoys traveling.
We will spend a week in SteamBoat Springs, CO in June as we have the past 4 years - there is a big baseball tournament up there that my son plays in & then we usually go a few days before to enjoy our time off.
