Hi, My name is Pam and I live in Texas. I've been reading this message board for a very long time, but I tend to be shy and haven't thought about posting anything until now. I love Scrapyland and am so glad I found this website. I am not a scrapbooker, but I love all paper crafts, i.e. cardmaking, home decor, kid's projects, paper dolls. I became involved in this hobby because I have a very dear friend who is a Stampin' Up representative. She has taught our club members so many wonderful techniques and whetted my appetite for more. My favorite tools are die cut machines and dies. I also want to say that Susan is the best! Her wit and knowledge are superb. Thank you, Susan. I also want to thank Dani for starting this business. It's so much fun to see and learn about all that is new and coming out soon. Hope to be posting more some time soon.

Welcome Pam to the message board. You sound like a person after my own heart. I not much of a scrapbooker but I love making cards and I first fell in love with paper dolls when I was very very young. (my grandmother made them with old catalogs and cereal boxes and I loved them all) Welcome again and I hope you enjoy chatting with everyone! Cat

I've been buying since September 2008 from Scrapyland and it took me until March 2009 to even realize there was a message board. I don't think I ever posted in this section when I joined so better late than never! My name is Noelle and I'm 25 years old and recently engaged (Dec. 2009) to my boyfriend of 5 years, Josh. I've been crafting since I was 13 or so I believe. I've acquired a pretty good collection of products over the years, most thanks to scrapyland of course! I'm a big fan of QuicKutz, Copics, and several lines of stamps including House Mouse, C.C. Designs, Hero Arts, Greeting Farm, etc. So yeah, alot of you know who I am by now but for those who are new I thought I'd introduce myself!

Hi there. My name is Cindy. I am from sunny California. I have been scrapbooking for about 12 years now. I love everything paper!! I started out sewing (I still sew occasionally) but found that I love paper more than I do fabric. Quickutz is my biggest passion right now. Thanks for letting me talk about my favorite hobby!

Hi Cindy, You'll find a lot of divas here who are "crazy for pink" and for Quickutz. And wonderful ideas from our main enabler, Susan of the Blog, and the team of designers. Welcome to the SL message board!

Cindy, I used to collect fat quarters, just because I loved the pretty fabrics. Now I collect paper because paper takes up lots less room! Pam, I lived in Texas for 6 months and 11 days back in 1991. The hottest summer of my life and I saw my first rattlesnake ever. For real. In my yard. **Shudder** Welcome to the MB, ladies!

Hello Cindy Welcome to the message board. Sound like several of us have had the same addictions. I can't say which I started to love first. Paper...fabric? Fabric....paper? Guess the confusion comes from one grandmother who made paper flowers...cards...dolls etc.... even made a crepe paper dresses...... One grandmother who could sew anything and everything (made her own clothes patterns from newspaper) Clothes... drapes...quilts...etc. (She had us sitting at the sewing machine before our feet could touch the floor. Pedal was on an apple crate....she even had the boys sewing...) Old jeans....towels...sheets she had us turn into pot holders..hot mats.... Michelle, I agree you can collect a lot more paper in the same space fabric takes up....that the reason I started collecting paper. Once again welcome Cindy; hope to see your thoughts here, Cat

Thanks so much- I just love to be able to talk about scrapbooking and everything all the time- my family is kind of sick of me I am so glad to find others with my same passion. A few years ago we converted our garage into a sewing room, but I scrapbook more in it now- I love it Cindy

My sister told me I had to come here to introduce myself now that I've signed up for the seasonal card contest. I'm not really sure what all to say. We (my mom, my sister, and I) have been shopping at Scrapyland for a few years now, and my mom will hardly shop anywhere else online (her username is "Catdemel"). Now that I'm on break from school I actually have some time to do some paper crafting. I work full-time as an editor. I'm currently going to school half-time for a second bachelor's degree in art. The university I work for is generous enough to waive tuition for one class per semester for its employees. My major is ceramics, but I love painting and jewelry, too. I spend my free time in the summers by going to the drive-in movie theatre with my boyfriend and swimming at the university's leisure pool area. Oh, and by thoroughly cleaning the apartment I neglect all through the semester. I guess that's all for now.

The message board is a great place and ScrapyLand is the best on-line store. If you haven't checked out Susan's Blog that's another "MUST". She does the greatest demos.

Cindy; I just now seen where I had welcomed you before. But you can't make a person feel too welcomed can you? Forgive me for being a little squirrely .... allergies and their med make for a absent minded lady at times Cat

Hi Everyone, My name is Ahilim, but my friends call me LIM. ;D I'm new to this website. I'm married to a wonderful man who is also my best friend. He understands me like nobody else and spoils me with my craft addition. We had a beautiful daughter who is now in heaven …. She left a few years ago at the age of 5 because of cancer. Stamping helps me relax, forget and believe . I started making cards almost three years ago and I never imagined how many wonderful and amazing friends I was going to make thanks to this passion (or craziness) of the craft world. I'm a HUGE fan of Magnolia and Hanglars stamps and I'm always looking for any cute stamp to increase my collection. My favorite medium to color the images is distress inks. Love Nestabilities and I'm "crazy" about all Tim Holtz products. Thanks! LIM

Welcome, Lim!
I'm so sorry about your daughter. I think you will find the message board to be a very warm and welcoming place.
Stick around this weekend. Our fearless leader (Susan) and Gail (part of the Design Team) are at the CHA convention in Anaheim, CA. They are sure to report back on all the goodies they find!

Thank you so much for the welcoming and kind words. I really appreciate it. I can't wait to see what's new on the store. I never placed an order here before, but reading the GREAT references and compliments from the board I know I'm in the right place. I'm still checking out everything to get familiar with all the products. The selection so far is amazing. I'm happy to having found this board and store. Do you have any gallery in here other than photobucket?
Thanks!

Lim, for the most part, members share their projects in a thread--either one they start or a current thread if it's pertinent. If there is a contest running, you send the specified DT member your project and it will be posted on the blog.
Feel free to share any projects that you are working on! We love to see other's work!
And if you have other questions, let us know. We are an enabling helpful bunch!
