I got mine today, Gail!! It's the cutest one yet I think! I was surprised and delighted to find it on my front porch. I couldn't figure out what I had ordered--it took me a few minutes to read the return address and realize it was the cookbook, lol.
Thank you so much for all the hard work you did on it.

Oh, and Scrapyland Susan--I almost did Cilantro Lime Chicken, too! I'm glad I left it to the expert, though. I've never gotten around to making it, but it sure sounds good. I'm glad I've now got your recipe to follow. Very convenient that you could also use lime green on your layout, eh? :-)

My mail carrier doesn't have to live in fear any more...the cookbook arrived today! Once again, the Divas have outdone themselves! I hope to take a good look at the recipes soon, but right now, DH is checking it out. (Since he's the better cook in the house, I suppose he should have the first viewing! ;D) Just a small request...would a few of you Divas please "fes up" about which recipes are yours?

Glad the reviews are positive so far. Michelle, I made Susan's recipe, and it is great!! So flavorful, but so easy. I used frozen chicken tenders (didn't thaw them), and it was ready in 4 hours - great for when I (as usual) forget to plan ahead! I agree Diane, it's nice to know whose recipe/page is who's (did I do that right or not?? ). I thought about putting names on the pages myself, but didn't want to step on anyone's toes... Ladies who didn't sign your pages, how about letting others know which is yours? And would you mind if I put your name on the back of your page next time if you forget to do it??? Gail

I got mine too!!!.....Barely got to skim through it before Eugene/hubby had his hand out....these recipe books are very popular at my house....the guys love looking at them too. I Love all of our cookbook.....but I think we are getting better and better I agree with Diane & Gail I like to know who's pages/recipes are who's. I know one who forgot to put her name one of her recipes pages. Christy your Dad even asked which girl didn't put their name on the Band Boosters' Brisket Tacos.. page? (can you believe a Dad recognized a page as one of his girls pages? ? He just wasn't sure which one made it.) I admit I had to look at mine to make sure I had put my name on it.....I didn't forget Gail, I don't have a problem with you putting my name on my pages if I happen to forget. Thank you to all of the ladies who made pages and a Huge THANK YOU to you, Gail. Thanks for all the work that has gone into making another special keepsake. Hugs to everyone! Cat PS. Chelle your Campfire Stew page stumped your Dad.....he couldn't find the recipe.

Whoowho!! Mine came today too!! I saw the flurry of activity here on the board and bailed on my late work plans just so I could get home and see if the postman was kind to me today. Much to my delight I had a present waiting on my front porch. Even my take out had to wait until I could have a first look. I think I have to agree with everyone else...this might well be the best one so far...but they are all so cute, how could I choose a favorite?? And did anyone else notice the themes running through so many of the pages? (No, I'm not talking about the wonderful variety of pulled pork options. ) I see my favorite Bazzill texture on several pages (including the cover--swoon!!). Then there are the paper flowers, peppers, brads and stitching/sewing items. It's almost as though the pages were all coordinated. Absolutely beautiful work ladies. I've already been through the book three times and haven't even gotten around to fully reading the recipes yet. I guess I better get to that part because I might need to try one or two this weekend since I'll have to work a bit to make up for bailing today. Oh, and Mom, glad you figured out the secret--I just hope it works smoothly on all the pages!! And I have to admit, I might be sneaky but I totally, unashamedly stole the idea from Sister!! I can scraplift with the best of them!! Thanks to everyone for all the hard work that went into these awesome pages. And a double extra large helping of thanks to Gail and Diane for their work on the covers and assembly! Christy

Girls, I'm grinning from ear-to-ear that you're enjoying the cookbooks! ;D I'm loving all the variations on pulled pork - I have my own recipe (which I had planned to be my page), but held off once I saw others coming in. They all sound delicious, and I'm going to have to try them out - some of the ingredients are intriguing!! Thanks ladies for all the time and effort you put into your work, and for the gorgeous, detailed pages. Like you, I enjoy trying out the recipes, but also have fun just looking at them. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one - I think we decided a while ago it should be CHOCOLATE!!!! Diane and I have already started plotting it!! Gail

HELLO AMAZING COOKING DIVAS.... You all blew my socks off - seriously I don't know if I'm more impressed by scrapping skills or cooking skills! Diane the cover is STUNNING. I love the title, and the apron and the flowers - just GORGEOUS! Gail - you totally rock putting this all together {and waiting patiently for slackers like me!}. I so appreciate that you let me be a part of this one, I am going to cherish it! First up - Brisket Tacos {I'm a band mom, what can I say, she had me at the title!!} Second up - Chicken Chili - this sounds delicious! Then I'm going to work my way through the book in order. Maybe we should have a pulled pork taste off?!?!?! Thanks again ladies. Gail and Diane make an amazing team on the covers and the coordination. You both are greatly appreciated! Ladies, again, I will treasure this! Thanks for letting me be a part of it! As for the chocolate - OH GOODNESS - I have the best recipe for crockpot chocolate clusters! The recipe makes 1.2 million chocolate clusters and is perfect at holiday time for getting tons of tins filled quickly!!!

I just put the basic covers together, and Gail does all of the fancy stuff...and waits for the recipe pages to arrive (that's not a cold shot at Susan, just for the record!)...and puts the books together...and boxes them up...and takes them to the post office...and hopefully goes home and puts her feet up until she recovers! And, Susan! Start putting that Chocolate recipe together, because all of us are going to want it! ;D

Susan and everyone else, I don't if you found the journel's hiding spot for the Brisket Tacos or not. Warning......HIGH DEMAND......Great fund raiser.... Football concession stands....Festivals...etc While our kids were in band the Boosters usually cooked 8- 20 lb. plus sized briskets for regular home football games... We always ran out by the end of the games. We usually rolled 150 to 200 before we even opened the windows....2 to 3 of us spent the rest of the night just making brisket tacos as fast as we could. We sold them for $2.00 each. (regular sized tortilla with brisket; wrapped in the white restaurant tissue.) (Mary Jane and I were together in Band Boosters for 13 years along with our husbands. There were 3 other couples who's children were spaced the same as ours. They were right there by our sides all of the way. We "all" enjoyed working side by side with each other. I have never met a harder working, fun loving group of people. We have since lost Mary Jane to cancer ....she is missed by all) Oh the memories, these bring back. Ladies thanks for letting me share my memories. Cat

Is there a place wher you can see all the fun recipes cards? Usually they're only available in the physical cookbooks that were shared by swap participants. Also, sometimes folks don't want their designs freely shared on an internet site (I'm not speaking for any of the Divas in particular here). There'll likely be another swap (probably with CHOCOLATE recipes) in the fall or so, and you might want to sign up then. Gail/AnnaMatrix, who is usually in charge of the recipe swaps gives us plenty of time to plan.

I talked to Susan about us sharing our Recipe Swap pages/ books on the MB (even on SL Pinterest site). She doesn't have a problem, she even offered to shoot the pictures and blog the book......But we need permission from all of the participants first. The pictures can taken at a slight angel, with props and etc, in such a way that they can't be just printed to make an album. Ladies, I would love to share our Crockpot Recipe Boo; the scrapping is AWESOME... not to mention the recipes....which by the way I'm still trying out. Please let us have your permission to post your pages.....let us know by answering this post. Cat I've been wanting to post pictures of the other Recipe Swap books because they are Awesome too!
