Diane, the covers and your wonderful pages just arrived! Now for me to put my thinking cap on and decorate these beautiful covers! Is it cheating if I make your recipes before the book is officially out?? Gail

...Is it cheating if I make your recipes before the book is officially out?? Gail Nope...not cheating! With all the work you do to get the book covers decorated, and then all of the assembly, I believe that you simply run the "test kitchen"! ;D

Well it appears that we are going to have 2 broccoli salads in this book I also have a recipe that I have been making for over 10 years!! It is easy and we all love it. It has been eaten at almost every holiday dinner, baby shower, wedding party, birthday, etc that our family has been involved with!! I hope that is okay with everyone?? I am loving how the pages are turning out too so there is no going back Thanks, Cindy

Well it appears that we are going to have 2 broccoli salads in this book ... Cindy That's good! Now I'll have twice as many chances to convince DH that broccoli is a great veggie!

Cindy, I wouldn't care if we all sent in the same broccoli salad recipe. I love seeing all the different rendition we come up with. I always look at the pages and enjoy them before I even look at and read the recipes. It's so much fun!!! I always loved giving my Girl Scouts a project and seeing all the different ideas that would come out. It was amazing....same supplies, same idea, same age girls...all amazingly creative and different. I firmly believe everyone is & can be creative. I loved seeing them when they discovered their own creativity. (It makes me sad to see someone who thinks they aren't creative ) I enjoy the creativity and individual styles everyone has put into making their pages!!!! Thank you everyone for sharing your beautiful creative pages as well as you wonderful recipes!!! Cat

Hope you're getting a lot accomplished, Cat and Cindy! I've planned the covers, and chosen my recipe, purchased some PP, but no actual scrapping has yet occurred!! Spending this weekend finishing up Halloween treat boxes for staff - since I work at my small office, and at a larger research center, and also make them for DH's staff, I'm making 20 of them this year!! Seriously though, I'm having fun!! ;D Hope your weekend's great!! Gail

Gail, I must confess I didn't get as much done yesterday as I planned. I made a giant pot of boiled chicken(base) with onion, celery, & carrots. I used part of it to make chicken-n-dumplings and froze the rest for later use. (chiceken: noodle, rice, etc) While cooking I ended up shopping at Dani's Scrapping Center. He had some of those cute little kid stamps I been wanting. (I have some pinned on Pinterest.) I did get all the letters cut out for my title and made up....now I need to print out my recipes and attach them. Plus decide if I should write a short story about the recipes. Guess I should get back to scrapping since DH is wrapped up in the football games. Have a Great Week! Cat

PM'd you back, Karen! I'll share Karen's question with you all. She asked if mail service was OK here, since she is ready to mail her pages. Karen is one speedy scrapper!! Mail service is just fine here. So mail away ladies! I'm eagerly awaiting your scrapping and cooking masterpieces!! Happy Scrappy weekend!! Gail

Pam, I think you are right about coming to the end of a busy schedule. You just want a minute to breathe. If it helps, I have changed at least parts of my designs three or four times just in the last two scrapping sessions and I've been stuck on a couple of elements that just don't feel right for about two weeks! Hang in there...I know the mojo will come back! c

Trying to send Mojo your way, Pam, but I'm not sure I have much to spare!! Don't fret - sometimes you just need to sit and stare, or as my Mom used to say: "have the big lazies". There's still plenty of time, and I know that you'll get your creative spirit back after a break. Gail
