Hahaha! I was catted myself last night. Unusual that I had one on the couch next to me and the other on my lap--they don't exactly get along all that well. The one in my lap even helped me sign an email I sent to the fam last night--with her head! She was lying on her back with the top of her head on the keyboard watching me type and I couldn't reach the backspace key to unsign the message! Funny girls! No worries!! I'm sure the book will be worth the wait. c

Our cat wants to...uh..."help" with anything that's on the computer, a scrapbook page, or the words on the page of a book or magazine, and it seems that she can see all of these much, much better if she's sitting right on top of them! It's a good thing that she's a very loving furball!

Sounds like our fur balls some have been worse than others. My little one aways had to help with my scrapping ------I sure miss him. Maybe I can stand to get another one someday. Velcro doesn't have a lot to do with me ----he thinks the guys belong to him ----and doesn't have much to with ladies around here. He's one of the guys and plans to stay that way. big old snob Cat

I do not have a cat but I have been "Dogged" My 100+ lbs german shepherd loves to be hugged! Every time I try to do anything in the backyard he has to stick his nose in it He will nuzzle his face under my arm pit to see whats going on and get a hug at the same time. I have to be extra careful around the swimming pool because I am afraid he will push me in! He follows behind me as I mow the grass, its too funny! Pulling weeds is impossible with him around, which is ok because I hate pulling weeds Cindy

no cat here either but I also have a 100 pound dog he is mixed. He also follows me around and sticks his head under my arm pit. Cleaning around here use to be a real chore. I had two shelties(both passed now) and the 100 pound dog. Well the one sheltie would follow me everywhere and the other two dogs would follow him. It was funny sometimes I use to just go from room to room just to bug them .

OKAY - DONE, SENT, EN ROUTE, AND RESIGNING! The pages are half way to Gail right now. She should have them tomorrow I think, depending on weather, or Friday. Ladies I am so so so sorry. I had these darn pages half done and sitting here for eons, I just kept covering them up with something else, or I'd get lost in a drawer when I was looking for something to use on the page. Then I got so darn frustrated because I could not for the life of me find my Veggie die that had the broccoli stem on it. So that stalled...then dear daughter came home and offered to help finish and die-cut the substitute die...BUT SHE QUIT! {She got a better offer} So on Sunday I gave up and went with another digital page and threw everything else out. I was so mad at myself... I'm sorry! And I officially have kicked myself {and I made Gail swear} out of all future swaps. I just love the end results, but I stink at the execution! I will watch from afar the next swap {could it be something like an okra/beet/garbanzo bean swap so I won't be too jealous for missing out on it?!?!?! ;D} So it looks like we'll have finished books in January - I'm to blame and I don't want Gail to work on stitch on these over Christmas week. So hopefully she'll hold off and not ruin her holiday plans because of my lazy/slacker/tardy/dawdler habits!!!! thanks ladies! The only thing I can hope is that you'll love the recipe and the story that I wrote to go with it. Funny "history" behind it, and it is definitely a family favorite. In fact, there's a bowl of it in the fridge right now calling my name!!!

OKAY - DONE, SENT, EN ROUTE, AND RESIGNING! Susan, don't you dare resign! I haven't heard anyone complaining, and besides, I'm sure that you still have recipes that we can't live without!

Susan, I agree Diane!!! I don't think you should resign either. As long as Gail doesn't mind having the pages hanging out in her craftroom I don't see a problem. Gail, don't you dare think about working on those books during the Christmas break!!! Susan, and I have laid down the law young lady!!! We are all grown-ups; we can wait, besides Cindy isn't going to be home she going to Disneyland and her poor cookbook might get snowed on. Hugs & Christmas prayers ladies! Cat

hahaha - you girls are making me laugh! Thank you for the forgiveness. However this will be my last Swap. I hate making Gail wait and I hate that I am so easily distracted by other things. My attention span is HORRIBLY short!!!! But I just know you'll love this recipe and I CAN NOT WAIT until January to get the rest of y'all's salad recipes! thanks for being so sweet, and I'm glad you weren't last Cindy ...

Eh. No worries! I'm not in any hurry, either. Susan, please don't swear off the recipe swaps. If you want or need to do digital pages, then just stick to that. Part of the fun of the books are all the different styles and approaches, and we sure would miss you.
And yes, Gail, please enjoy your holiday and don't worry about the books :-)

Thanks for giving me a pardon, ladies! I'm taking you up on it!! Course, it would be pretty difficult to finish the books since Susan has me locked up in an "undisclosed location" working on Die-Versions projects for the Jan and CHA releases!! And, Susan, can I have a cookie and wine break, now, please?? You girls are just the best, and I wish you all a magical Christmas and a New Year full of joy and possibility! I promise to make the books worth waiting for!! Gail

Oh, Susan, I'm not worried about timing. I'm just sorry you got so frustrated you had throw out all your other work!! I do hope you will reconsider participating...we would really, really, really miss you! Maybe we could just give you an earlier deadline than everyone else!! Gail, so glad you are going to leave the book binding and such until after Christmas. That gives me something to look forward to in January (besides more Die-Versions)! I hope Susan isn't working you and the rest of the team too hard!! ;D c

okay ladies - I don't mean to B-R-A-G...but I've seen the Salad recipe book covers!!! You will completely agree with me, when you get yours, that they will have been completely worth the wait!!!!! Gail heads to AZ on Tuesday, and when she returns home I'm sure they will be sitting there patiently, just about ready to ship out. They are completely over the top - perfection and adorableness all wrapped up in an 8x8 cover, expertly cut and covered. Bi-Coastal creations...you will LOVE THEM!!!

Yep, I think more salad would be a good thing for me, too right about now. If I keep telling myself that maybe it will happen. Darn those office cafeterias with so many choices: pizza or salad, veggies or pasta, water or soda. c

Well. Ladies, I'm back from CHA!! It was a wonderful but exhausting time. Building the booth was the worst. Though manning the booth involved lots of standing in one place, the enthusiasm shown by the attendees for Die-Versions was SO rewarding! Definitely fun (except for my aching tootsies!). Wish you could all have been there! Once I print up the recipe and participants lists for the inside covers, the books are done. They WILL ship Monday, and that's a promise!! You'll each find a little belated Christmas gift in your packages. Thank you all SO much for your participation in these swaps!! Right now, I'm gonna take a break from hosting, as there's a bit too much on my plate. (My office is moving, DH is about to embark on a series of weekend rides (and I go along for support) and continued involvement with the Die-Versions design team.) It's all good, but there's just not enough time in my days right now! If any of you want to try hosting some swaps, please do!! If you look back into the history of this category you'll see swaps of cards, tags, ornaments, etc. If you need help/suggestions from me, don't hesitate to PM. Hugs and Happy New Year!! Gail

Gail...congratulations on knowing when your plate is full and overflowing! The swaps have been wonderful, but perhaps we'll all enjoy a vacation for a while. Now...really...how many of us who have been participating have tried all of the recipes already? Coming up for air won't hurt any of us, and maybe I'll take the time to "spring clean" my scrap space (again!) Thanks again for all of your hard work (and we know you've done the hardest part)!

Gail, thank you so very much for hosting these recipe book swaps. You are the greatest and have worked so hard. I appreciate everything you have done to make these swaps so successful and fun. I have enjoyed participating so much; getting to see first hand every body's great works of scrapping and sharing all of the great recipes. It's been great getting to know the other people who share my love of paper crafts. I feel as if I know these people here on SL message board so much better than before these swaps . I want to thank everyone who shared their time, recipes and scrapped pages in these swaps. Diane thank you for your help with the covers. Thanks again Gail and looking forward to seeing your DV projects and hearing from you here on the SL MB. Cat one of SL, SLMB, Susan's blog biggest fans
