For maybe the first time ever, I'm sad to say that Dani shipped my order ultra fast. Now I want to add more dies, but it's too late. I feel another order coming on... ;D

You are right, Michelle! There are so many great ideas on the blog right now that I think I should have let my CC order everything! Thanks, all of you DT Divas, for the wonderful ideas!

I just want to add that if anyone wants to cut fabric with the LS/QK dies you will need to apply some bonding material on the back. I bought a nice package of it at Joann's (Heat'n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive) and it's really super simple and easy to use..just set your iron to a low setting like silk and iron it on then peel off the backing then you are ready to cut. You can also use pre-stiffened felt otherwise regular felt also needs a little bit of bonding material to cut.

Somewhere there is an entire thread that we did on cutting various materials with QK dies. I'll try to dig it up, since I know I give specific brands of felt to use.
I think we talked about using fabric, too. I don't back it with anything fusible, but I do use a sheet of copy paper in the sandwich. There may be a thread or two to snip, but I've had good luck.
Most wool felts will cut just fine. I even cut fine letters out wonderfully! Let me go and see if I can find the thread....

Here's one: We were talking about the felt that Lifestyle Crafts is developing. It's was scheduled to come out for CHA, but was pushed back. scrapyland.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=17&action=display&thread=7490And in this thread, Susan talks about cutting her fabric poseys--adorable! There are some further tips there for cutting fabric and felt. scrapyland.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=17&action=display&thread=7604I also buy wool felt from another site. It's so soft and cuts like butter. Even the tiny fonts cut well--it's so much better than Thickers! I think I said it somewhere above, but I don't cut these thicker materials with my Rev, only my Epic. I don't want to stress the gears on the Rev. My Epic is tighter than most and I can't say that I really like it for cutting wafer thin dies. But it cuts steel cut dies beautifully and works like a dream for embossing and cutting fabric and felt. So I use it without worries--it's one tough beast!

Stiffen Stuff works great on fabrics, and like Susan suggested, I spray the fabric and then nuke it. (Saves getting the iron out...and my iron is already the loneliest appliance in the house!)
Wool felt cuts nicely, too!

Leslie, like Michelle, i cut my fabric betwenn printer paper if I am just using it flat on my page and do the microwave stiffening if doing someting dimensional. I do do anything to my felt and it cut just fine with my cookus cutter dies.
Thanks Michelle for digging up that thread.

Now that Dani has the search feature fixed, it was a piece of cake. I just did a search for felt. I came up with a lot of thoughts on "how we felt" and then the two I was looking for. Easy peasy!
