I have a peanut butter chocolate chip (or some sort of cookie...haven't decided for sure yet) recipe. I'm known for my cookies, so I have to include one cookie recipe. AND I'm thinking my Death by Chocolate recipe.....
YUM!!

I still do not know what I want to make. I tried one recipe this week and while it was delicious, it made me a little sick yesterday so I am NOT going to do it!! I like the idea of less duplicates just so we have more variety of yumminess ;D Cindy

I am kind of on the fence. I agree it would be great to have lots of variety. But for me it is also about seeing everyone's fabulous work scrapping the recipes and the stories that go with them. And I have enjoyed being surprised by what recipes everyone comes up with...even the variety of pulled pork options. So maybe I've talked myself into being slightly on the side of letting things fall where they may. After all, you really cannot ever have too many brownie recipes... Christy

[/b][/quote] I was planning on a Chocolate Cherry Chunk Cookie and Brigadeiros. I don't mind multiple brownies if they are all different but it's nice to have a good variety of other things..I can't wait to try all these yummy recipes.

Lets leave sharing of recipe titles optional. But I'm gonna have a hard time waiting for these recipes to arrive... I do think I may have to do a "test run" of each recipe before it's included, you know, just to make sure it's not poisonous or anything!! Gail

I agree with this I love the pages the best. I am glad you are leaving us to our own vices LOL

Yes, Leslie - I will need tasters, and I will deliver! If I walk the treats to everyone's house, I might just break even calorie-wise!! Diane, maybe then we can skip the Diet and Exercise book!! Suzanne, I'm so glad you enjoy the scrapping and the background stories - I agree, it's one of my favorite parts of each book!! Have a wonderful weekend, ladies. I hope wherever you are, you're escaping the heat! Gail

Here's one more request (and it's a "note to self" as well!)... Remember to put your name or MB username somewhere on your pages, please!

Thanks, Diane, for having my back (as usual!). In addition to your name, if you have any info or a story about the recipe to include on the back, it helps to make the page special for all of us. For example, if the recipe is from your grandmother and your family always makes it at Christmas, let us know, OK?? Thanks! Gail

Whew! So glad you guys are thinking of skipping the diet and exercise book!! I sure don't want to think about either with the oppressive day we had here today. It was in the 80s and raining all week in Houston and then today the heat came back with a vengeance! Yucky! And speaking of signing our pages...a note for those who participated in the last book: I don't think I ever took responsibility for being sneaky about signing my brisket tacos page. (When I look through my book that is the only one without an obvious name.) Probably everyone has found the slider thingy already, but if you haven't pull on the scalloped bit that just slightly overhangs the page edge. It does not pull all the way out and some are a little snug so you might have to a bit careful pushing it back in. And Gail, to answer your question from the other thread, yes, please feel free to add my name if you notice it missing from any of my pages. I try to make sure I do that, but you know how distractions can be... c

Okay! I just got back from vacation. I was going to do a brownie recipe, but I guess I will change my mine. I found a good bar recipe I think everyone will enjoy. I do recipe pages with a group of gals that I scrapbook with with once a year. It is so much fun to get a new recipe to add to our books. I just think of it as a "Potluck" of recipes. If you get more than one duplicate recipe, that's just fine. They usually are a little different. I also enjoy the art work from everyone. Tomorrow is going to be very hot. So I am going to get started. I am really looking forward to making my pages for everyone to enjoy!

Haven't made it into my craft room for over a week - it's too hot (hottest day of the year so far today ) - but I've selected a recipe: Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares. It's a holiday favourite in our house. Now, to wrap my mind around creating a recipe page... Hopefully once I sit down with the recipe in front of me, I'll be inspired. Of course, that means that it has to cool off so I can leave the basement and make my way to the second floor.... Gail, I'll PM you with my address... Erin.

OH shoot - I was going to try and be the first one done...instead of the last one done, like usual!!! Oh well, there is always the chance to be the second one done!!!

..um...yes..please don't hate me. I planned my pages and scanned my recipes first thing then just had to go into manuf mode. Unfortunately I am just a recipe collector so I don't have any wonderful stories to share..I just bake and eat ;D

Leslie, you could include a bit about why you like the recipe so much... There's nothing wrong with baking and eating!! Ladies, I just received the cover bases from Diane - the paper she chose is SO CUTE! I literally squealed when I saw it. I just hope I can do them justice!! Have a great weekend, everyone!! Gail

Leslie, your beautiful pages arrived just now! I am so, so happy you put your work in plastic bags, because the box was soaked! I held my breath while opening it - was afraid your hard work was ruined, but all is perfectly dry. Ladies, many of you do put your pages in ziploc bags - after this episode, I definitely encourage the rest of you to do the same to avoid disaster! Gail P.S. Leslie, Keith and I are drooling over your recipes - another good reason to put them in ziplocs!!

You never know how they'll be handled between your place and Gail's! I finished mine this morning, so they're sitting here, all packaged up in plastic, and they'll be in the mail on Monday morning.

OH WOW! Thanks so much for the mail information Gail! Since I'm a newbie at this, I was going to post what would be the best way to mail our recipe pages to you! I will definitely be putting my pages in a Ziploc bag and a box from the post office I'm guessing? I am about half way finished with my recipe pages. I am hoping to finish them up tomorrow! Thanks again Gail for the mailing info! Karen

Pam, two pages is fine - the more the merrier, as long as they fit in the binding. Karen, gallon size Ziplocs, and 10x10 inch boxes seem popular, and work great. I just turn around and use the same boxes to send the books back. If you're using an envelope instead of a box, slip some chipboard on either side of your pages to prevent bending. Diane, you are SO on the ball - can't wait to see what you and everyone else has "cooked up!" Happy Scrapping! Gail
